Henderson, Invisible Children, and JAGK shoes.
ContentI was talking to Adam Henderson, ex-lead singer of Dropout Year on myspace today. He's such a sweetheart, and I finally feel like I've gotten to know him better.. I had an idea through the lyrics he's written, but I just have a much fuller, more educated opinion of him.
I was talking to him about how I've been dealing with the realization that, I have a long way to go as a guitarist and song writer. I've been sticking to with what I'm comfortable with, and my progression over the past few years has been... well, lacking.
He reminded me that the simple stuff will only take me so far. And that, studying different styles will not only make me a better guitarist, but a song writer as well. ( Also a bunch of other stuff about keeping my grades up... for a little bit I felt like I was talking to my dad. XD; Sorry Henderson. )
Anyway, I think I'm definitely going to take his advice. Start listening to artists I normally wouldn't even give a first try, and maybe I'll learn something from them... I dunno. But he's definitely inspired me to take more steps towards learning.

School is really lame here too. My teachers suck! and i have no time for my art. D=
but im pretty good. considering the things that are going on around me. im handeling them better than i thought i ever could. i think im going to be alright, you know?

That's great to here. =] I've been going through some rough spots, but it's just going to take time, I guess. I wish saying that would actually make it easier though. =/
